Austin’s First AmTryke Rodeo On January 11, 2008, Mid-cities AMBUCS delivered 11 AmTrykes to Starbright Pediatric Clinic of Healthsouth, South Lamar location. Children from Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas and Starbright brought their families and therapists to witness the event. The trykes were ridden out the door surrounded by smiles, cheers, and wide-eyed wonder. For many of these kids, this was their first tryke. Nine more AmTrykes were delivered two weeks later. This was only the beginning…
Earlier that day, therapists were given the opportunity to earn continuing education credit while learning about AMBUCS and how to assemble the Trykes.
A huge thank you to Cliff Bauerle, Greg Rusk, Sue Haywood, and Sonya Rigano for seeing the need and answering the call!
